As a native of Northern Virginia, Jason A. Weis has made his career resolving difficult, highly contested family law cases, including fault-based divorce, custody, support, and property division litigation. Prior to entering law school, Mr. Weis travelled across the country alongside U.S. Tax Court Judges, assisting in the resolution of federal tax matters. Following law school, he operated, purchased, and sold commercial business entities. His financial, corporate, and real-estate-related background, coupled with his education in philosophy and religion, enable him to offer clients a unique and dynamic approach to family law.
Early in Mr. Weis’s career he was named a “Rising Star” by SuperLawyers Magazine and “one of the fastest rising young divorce lawyers in Northern Virginia” by the Washington Business Journal. Since that time, he has collected accolades from the Washingtonian Magazine, Northern Virginia Magazine, SuperLawyers Magazine, Best Lawyers in America, U.S. World News and Reports, Ten Leaders in Matrimonial & Divorce Law in Northern Virginia, Avvo, and Martindale Hubble, among others. He has qualified and testified as an expert on Virginia family law in a foreign jurisdiction and been vetted by the U.S. Department of State to provide legal services to clandestine individuals and/or individuals with varying levels of security clearance.
