Mr. Moher has practiced law in the Commonwealth since 2001. He receives an AV Preeminent® rating from Martindale-Hubbell® Law Directory and is listed in Best Lawyers in America. He has also been listed for multiple years as a “Super Lawyer” in Virginia’s Super Lawyers magazine and has been recognized as a Top Lawyer in Northern Virginia Magazine.
He is an experienced trial lawyer who has litigated and/or negotiated successful resolutions in all areas of family law, including custody, child and spousal support, and equitable distribution matters. He is experienced and proficient in military divorces, divorces involving federal government employees and contractors, divorces involving World Bank and IMF employees, foreign service divorces, and divorces involving elected officials and political appointees. Mr. Moher has extensive experience with valuing and division of closely-held businesses, international child custody, cases involving child sexual abuse, imputation of income, and spousal battery. In addition to his traditional experience, Mr. Moher is also an active practitioner of collaborative law. He is a Past-President of the Collaborative Professionals of Northern Virginia (CPNV), and he is the Chair of the Virginia Collaborative Professionals (VaCP).

Mr. Moher graduated with honors from Allegheny College and received his Juris Doctor from Marquette University in Milwaukee, Wisconsin. He is a member of the Virginia and Wisconsin state bars and is a member of the Family Law Section of the Fairfax Bar Association. Mr. Moher was a recipient of the Fairfax Bar Association’s 2013 President’s Award for his dedication and outstanding service to the association.
